Birthworker Tomecas CHD,CBE,BC Owner/Certified Holistic Doula/ Childbirth Consultant
Birthworker Tomecas started her journey in her calling as a birth worker at an early age before she knew that "Doula" was a name for it.
At the tender age of 10 years old, she was called by her aunt to be present with her during the labor process. She also got a chance to witness her first birth. The birth of her baby cousin making his entrance into the world on a cool September morning.

Her family knew from that moment, and was told that she would one day become a wonderful Midwife.
From that moment until now her family calls her "Midwife".  Birthworker Tomecas was always called to assist family, friends and previous coworkers on their journey when giving birth to their children and enjoy every moment of it!

Birthworker Tomecas started her research on the word "Doula" in 2002 when a friend suggested that she should become one.  She realized at that moment that this is the work that she has been doing all her life.
She signed up for a doula training in 2011 and became a Certified Birth Doula with DONA(Doulas of North America) in 2012.
In 2015, she decided to make a change to assist families more on a holistic approach to birth and became a Certified Holistic Birth Doula with The Matrona. During that time, she also started her journey into homebirth midwifery to know more about birth in a home setting, in which she became a birth attendant with a CNM(Certified Nurse Midwife) for 1 year and 6 months. She also became an apprentice for a DEM(Direct Entry Midwife) for 2 years and 6 months to add more skills to her practice to better assist her clients laboring at home as long as possible before transferring to the hospital for their births. She is also a Certified Holistic Childbirth Educator, Breastfeeding Consultatant and Childbirth Consultant.

Childbirth is an experience in a woman's life that holds the power to transform her forever. Passing through these powerful gates - in her own way - remembering all the generations of women who walk with her... She is never alone." - Suzanne Arms
